Thank you for all the much hard work in creating this fabulous archive.

My Dad came home once with a huge pile of Meccano Magazines bought, presumably, at an auction. I have been a fan ever since. I am currently setting up my fourth Hornby rail layout!

I just love the adverts in these magazines. I would have sent off for everything but, of course, did not have the money!

A treasure-chest of information! My father started subscribing to MM in about 1923, and we picked up again in 1957. Sadly, he died just a couple of months after MM stopped in 1972. I got interested again in 1978; I still enjoy father's Meccano, Hornby trains, catalogues etc, and I add a few bits to the collection now & again. So this website is a great reference source - thank you very much indeed.

Factual, interesting, and compelling to the enthusiast, what a lot of effort and a could not be beaten record of the ephemera of the Meccano factory. Just now checking my collection against the definitive list.

Well done and much appreciated.

A most impressive site - what a massive job that must have been. Meccano Magazine was a great "general interest" publication. I wasn't much of a Meccano user, but devoured most of each issue of the magazine from the late 1940's to about 1957. It's too bad that there isn't a similar broadly oriented magazine for today's young people. Am trying to decide what to do with my hard copies; it seems there is no real shortage of them, and the availability of DVDs containing the whole lot, suggests to me that the cost of posting a batch of magazines is probably not worth it!

Golly, you deserve one of those golden spanners they hand out,
it is less effort for me to sit scrolling on the Mac here than to go up to the. loft to get the actual magazines.
Well Done.
