NOTES

1. The 5 1/2" x 2 1/2" flanged plates initially had two flanges on the long sides. The four flanged version was announced in the May 1928 Meccano Magazine. Whilst these lists assume that this happened in 1928, this is not necessarily certain and there might well have been a delay whilst old stock was used up. This especially applies to sets for overseas. There is some evidence to suggest that the 1930 Outfit 000 had the two flanged version.

2. From 1927 to 1934 the 5 1/2" x 2 1/2" flanged plates (both two & four flanged versions) also had a sawcut and slot to accommodate the circular saw (Part No. 159).

3. Originally all bosses were single tapped. In 1926/7 all bosses became double tapped.
