Konstruktor(10)/Konstruktor(12)/Konstruktor(21)

and other similar systems

There are a number of systems which are all very similar to each other and for simplicity's sake, I am putting them all together on one page. They are all metric and appear to use more or less the same parts. All the systems are made from aluminium except Vyaznikovsky (Вязниковским) which is nickel plated steel. The majority of the models are all either identical or very similar. I suspect that this type of system was used extensively in schools in the USSR. The various companies made these sets at various periods between at least the late 1950s and the early 1990s.

These systems are :-
1. Konstruktor(10) (made by an unknown Moscow company)
2. Konstruktor(12) (made by an unknown company)
3. Konstruktor(21) (made by Chelyabinsk plant Pribor (Челябинский завод "Прибор") - (Note that this company also produced copies of Meccano sets - See Konstruktor(6)
4. Sets from Omsk plant ETZ - Karl Marx (Омского з-да ЭТЗ им. Карла Маркса)
5. Sets from Ulyanovsk plant "Auto parts" (Ульяновский з-д “Автозапчасть”)
6. Sets from Vyaznikovsky association Tekmashdetal, Vyazniki (Вязниковским объединением «Текмашдеталь», Вязники)
7. Sets from another unknown company - sets called Asterisk (Звездочка)

Similarities

1. Part numbering - Konstruktor(10), (12), (21) and the Omsk sets share the same part numbering system. The others are all different.
2. Models - The models in common in Konstruktor(10), (21), Ulyanovsk and Omsk sets look to be identical. The other systems also had many very similar models to these but with small differences and also between each other.
3. Manual covers of the 1978 Ulyanovsk set 1 and the Konstruktor[10] set 3 are very similar.

Parts appear to be very like early KONSTRUCTION, including 'turned' Pulleys, but no Angle Girders.
