Merkur Elektrus/Elektro
Popular

Merkur(1) was a Meccano-like construction systems with 10mm hole spacing. Merkur was made in the Czech Republic (formerly Czechoslovakia) from 1925 right up to the present day. In additional to the traditional construction sets, they also make a robotic system and an educational system. Their website is http://www.merkurtoys.cz/.

They also made an electrical set for making electrical experiments - This was originally called Merkur Elektrus and later Merkur Elektro.

A small range of sets was sold under the Popular name in the early 1930s./
